SAN ANTONIO VACATION JANUARY 2000

During the last week in January, Glenn was attending the "Oceans 2000" Conference in San Antonio. On Friday of that week, Peggy flew down from Nova Scotia and Tom & Marilyn came in from Virginia. The foursome spent an entire week seeing the sites and enjoying south Texas.

Next on the agenda was a visit to the San Antonio Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Even thought it was late January, the weather was nice and only light jackets were required.

On January 29th, Glenn & Tom's birthday, the foursome linked-up with Larry & Lucy Stephens for a special meal of catfish at Specht's Store Restaurant. This is one of the best "off-the-beaten-path" watering holes and has the best catfish dinner west of the Mississippi.

The mini-vacation ended much too soon, but the foursome vowed to come back again and make it a long vacation next time.
