MARY'S 30TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION (August 4, 2001)

Rob Hagerman hosted the Birthday party at his Townhouse in Alexandria.  Her Birthday is actually August 5th, but what's a day when it comes to throwing a party?  Many friends, co-workers and family attended.  There was ample food and drink for everyone and fun was had by all.

A remarkable likeness it was!  Note the golden curls, the beady eyes, the toothy smile and of course the swollen jaw with gross, blue-black bruising. NOTE:  The bruise and swelling came from having a wisdom tooth extracted last week.

Following the traditional "Birthday Wish" and blowing-out of the candles, Rob & Mary take care of the cake cutting and distribution.

Rob not only hosted the party, but was the "architect" of the Birthday cake.  It is rumored that he provided a hand-drawn picture of Mary to the bakery which was meticulously followed as a guide for this culinary work of art.  This being true, let's hope Rob doesn't give up his day job.

  A number of Mary's friends traveled great distances to attend the party; Matt Kern (upper right) drove from Wilmington, NC to join in the festivities - he's a partying kind of guy.  Meredith Hersh (bottom left & right) flew in from Phoenix, AZ to spend the weekend and attend Mary' party.

Sandy & Mike sacrificed an evening with their new little boy, Jake, just to wish Mary a Happy Birthday and escape the diaper detail for a brief while.

Michael (Shannon) Young gives Mary a big Birthday smile, while Marilyn gives Mary a big Birthday hug.  The party likely went on late in the evening, but unfortunately the photographer/web geek had to leave early because he's old and had to resurface his driveway the next morning.

We know it must be hard for you, now that you're so old and Thirty, but never forget that most of us, still think that you are perdy !
