TOM'S KNEE SURGERY

(NOVEMBER 1, 2000)

This was Tom's 2nd surgery on the same knee within a 3-year period.  The orthopaedic surgeon declared the arthroscopy a success, but it was a foregone conclusion that Tom's chance of making the 2002 U. S. Olympic Marathon team was slim at best.

After only a couple of days, the bandages came off revealing the two small incisions and a well shaved knee.

While Tom was recuperating, Marilyn had to pick-up the slack and do all his normal duties, like mowing the lawn.  Here Marilyn demonstrates a real enthusiasm for mowing like her mom, Evelyn.

While Marilyn is slaving in the yard, Tom is forced to have frequent Liquor Drinks for two.
